Bust the brush for bunnies this winter; here’s where to target

When looking for signs on nonagricultural land, check the woody stems of brush and small trees. Any rabbit in the area will chew on the bark for nutrients. (Stock photo)

Rabbit hunting is a rewarding way to spend time with family and friends. Walking and talking back and forth among your party will not spoil a hunt. In fact, it can help flush rabbits.
Do not expect to see them out in the open during legal shooting hours, not on a regular basis. Moving through the brush, kicking any piles along the way may be the old-fashioned way, but it still works.
