They say even a blind squirrel finds an acorn, and this year, my acorn came in the form of a big-buck surprise.
I’d eagerly anticipated the regular firearms season in New York’s Southern Zone. My season would open at my hunting club’s property in Callicoon in Sullivan County, and bowhunting club members, as well as various trail cameras, had visual evidence that some big bucks were prowling the hardwood uplands.
