Steve Carney: Shotgun for Christmas? Here are some thoughts

I’ve had the pleasure of carrying almost every brand of shotgun. Thinking about that, I came up with a list of the brands I have used over the decades: Beretta, Benelli, Smith-Wesson, Browning, Ruger, Remington, CZ, Franchi, and my first shotgun in high school, the venerable Ted Williams-Sears 12-gauge pump.
Many hunters will be asking Santa for a new shotgun for Christmas, so here are my thoughts on styles, along with some recommendations.
