Keep it Clean grants awarded to Minnesota soil and water conservation districts

An effort to reduce litter and assorted pollution on the ice of Minnesota lakes that began on waters such as Upper Red and Lake of the Woods has expanded this year. (Photo courtesy of Keep It Clean)

The Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources has awarded its one-time legislative $200,000 allotment to various soil and water conservation districts in the state to support local Keep it Clean efforts aimed at curbing pollution on ice.
Aitkin, Beltrami, Cass, Crow Wing, and Lake of the Woods County SWCDs are the recipients of funding this year.
