Coyote hunting picks up in November and continues through the winter. Fur is surely prime by November, but this is not the only reason a hunter chases coyotes.
The hunting continues after some of the other seasons have ended. Conditions can become more challenging as winter approaches. It is not just the weather; the coyotes are either fewer in number or wiser. Those that have survived a run-in have wised up to the ways of a hunter.
