Unlike 2024, which featured balmy conditions for New York’s annual mid-November regular season opening day in the Southern Zone for big game, 2025 was a different story, and an ever changing one.
Across the state – from Buffalo to the Hudson Valley – hunters reported a continually mixed weather pattern that featured rain, snow, sleet, wind and sunshine. The conditions kept deer and hunters alike on their toes.
