The first skiffs of snow painted Froggy Bottom with white highlights on Nov. 10, then Froggy Pond iced over for the first time this season on Nov. 11.
Nature’s clock told me it was time to start my winter bird feeding routine. I dutifully cleaned and hung out my 11 feeders – which I scatter across the back “Forty” to provide a variety of venues.
