Outdoor Observations: Kudos to parties involved in implementing spring turkey changes in Michigan

Michigan turkey hunters will see big changes when the spring season opens on April 18. Most of the changes were made to simplify regulations – turning 14 management units into three – and to give hunters a better opportunity to fill their tags – expanding the length of the individual hunts.
In the past, poor weather could all but squash your opportunity to tag a gobbler.
