On a warm, early October Friday afternoon more than a dozen fifth grade students from the Granville Central School in Washington County were learning how to fish along the shores of a small pond at the Hudson Falls Fish & Game Club.
With the help of their teachers and mentors like local sportsman’s advocate Rick Vladyka and 2023 NYON Person of the Year, Bill Pike, they were catching bass and panfish out of the pond.
