The fight to keep invasive carp under control and out of the Great Lakes may now be getting easier. Earlier this month, the state of Illinois announced it had acquired land needed to move along the Brandon Road Interbasin Project, a $1.15 billion barricade aimed at keeping the aquatic menace from entering the channel that connects the Mississippi River Basin with the Great Lakes.
