An old Newfoundland moose-hunting guide said it best, and in simple fashion so typical of these hard-working folks, when talking about the potential for success on any hunt:
“Even where there’s a lot of them, there ain’t many of ’em.” He was right, but that’s a tough sell to a visiting hunter full of optimism.
