Slot limits, other fishing rule changes eyed in Michigan

Walleye, trout steams and lakes, spearfishing, and lake trout were among topics of discussion and proposed regulation changes at the Michigan Natural Resources Commission meeting earlier this month in Lansing.
The DNR’s Fisheries Division proposed a slate of changes and presented them to the commission for consideration. They will be up for action at the Oct. 9 NRC meeting at Michigan Technological University in Houghton.
