New York angler’s biggest salmon ever caught lands her $20,000 prize

For 32-year-old Amy LoPresti, of Rochester, N.Y., fishing in her first fishing derby ever, it was like a dream come true.
Fishing on Monday morning, Sept. 1, the final day of the Fall Lake Ontario Counties Trout and Salmon Derby (held Aug. 15 to Sept. 1), she grabbed hold of a fishing rod that had a big fish on it while trolling off Point Breeze and the Oak Orchard River. Twenty minutes later, she was looking at the biggest salmon that she’s ever seen, let alone caught – a 33-pound, 3-ounce Chinook that took over the lead for the $20,000 Grand Prize.

New owners of popular Antlers Supper Club in Wisconsin will maintain outdoors theme

It may have new owners, but a Shawano County supper club will retain its outdoors-related vibe.
Harlow Arndt and his wife, Tia, recently purchased Antlers Supper Club in Bonduel from Lance and Vicki Olson, who ran the popular business at 120 East Green Bay Street for 17 years. The Arndts take over a business that has been in Vicki Olson’s family for almost 25 years. The Arndts took over from the Olsons April 1.
