Minnesota DNR denies petition to reject dog trialing at Keystone Woods Wildlife Management Area

In June, a group of organizations led by the Minnesota Division of the Izaak Walton League of America filed a petition requesting the DNR not renew or extend the Keystone Woods Wildlife Management Area lease agreement with the Minnesota Federation of Field Trial Clubs.
The newly created WMA is situated in the northeastern corner of the Twin Cities metro area. The petition cited concerns that dog trialing on the land would negatively affect the environment and wildlife residing within the property.
