Without a doubt, muskie anglers are among the most conservation-minded of all fishermen. Release is a priority and doing what’s best for the fishery is always considered.
But that doesn’t mean they always agree. A hot button topic is whether it’s wise to fish for muskies when water temperatures peak in summer, and many anglers believe that when the surface temperature hits 80 it’s time to put down their rods until the water cools.
