BARNEVELD, WI — In less than two weeks, Vortex Optics raised over $12,000 for the Stoughton VFW in Stoughton, Wis.
In early May, Vortex sent out a post across the company’s social media pages announcing a limited run of shirts that were available in support of military veterans.
“Get one of these limited-run shirts featuring the poppy, a powerful symbol of remembering and honoring our nation’s heroes,” the post read. “All proceeds will be donated to one of our neighbor’s, the Stoughton VFW in Stoughton, Wis.”
Fans of the popular optics company that is based in Wisconsin responded in a big way by buying out the 500 t-shirts that were available.
“Compared to the sacrifices made by our veterans and their families, it’s a small thing we can all do,” Vortex wrote in a release announcing the proceeds raised.
