Dr. Scott Larsen named new veterinarian at Michigan DNR

“I have very strong interests in our wildlife and keeping our wildlife population health and Michigan has a long history of wildlife stewardship and commitment to wildlife health," Dr. Scott Larsen told Michigan Outdoor News. (Contributed photo)

After 18 months without a veterinarian, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources earlier this year hired Dr. Scott Larsen to the Wildlife Health Section.
Larsen, who most recently served as a veterinary liaison for the University of Pennsylvania’s Wildlife Futures program, came with decades of experience in veterinary medicine and wildlife disease transmission.
