It’s been an interesting spring – or lack thereof – for nearly all of New York thus far. The thermometer has been riding an up-and-down roller coaster-like pattern and nearly everyone I’ve talked to, especially boating anglers, are wondering if the wind will ever quit blowing.
Should the long-term weather forecast I’m looking at around press time hold, things are about to change for the better and just in time for the May 1 spring gobbler opener and of course, fishing seasons for walleyes, northern pike, tiger muskies and pickerel.
