New Southwick report shows hunters, anglers spend billions

Fishing, hunting and target shooting generate billions across the U.S. and in New York, according to recent data published by Southwick Associates. (Stock photo)

Recent reports from the American Sportfishing Association and the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation show that hunting, target shooting and recreational fishing generate billions in retail sales, job creation, and conservation funding.
The newly released series of reports from Southwick Associates and partners provides updated insights into the economic contributions of these outdoor activities at the federal, state, and congressional district levels.
