Charles 'Turk' Gierke says some of the best strikes you will get as a walleye angler will come when using big (heavy) jigs with soft plastics.

If you’re ever in a bait shop or outdoors store and you see a product called “river jigs” and wonder why they look so big and are so heavy, trust the process.
