Grueling lake effect storms take a toll on structures in parts of New York

There have been plenty of remarks about a lack of snow in recent years in places like New York. Well, it appears that most of those people have been pretty quiet about it lately.
One of the things associated with cold weather and snow has been the threat to roofs collapsing or leaking. Even those places where the weather has been relatively mild have had to deal with this problem. Starting with places like central New York, which hasn’t had to deal with much, they have been cautious. Then you contrast the snow belt areas where in eight days they received 10 feet of snow and you can see that there is a problem.
