As we begin getting some open water around the Quad Cities area, the itch to get out and chase those early-season walleyes is starting to get tougher to ignore.
While we assume everything was done correctly before the boat was put away in the fall, many times that task was done haphazardly and we tend to pay the consequences of those actions the first couple of times out in the spring. So, unless you are seasoned veteran of the waters and know exactly what things to look for, take a few minutes to make sure everything is ready to go.
