There is no doubt that Minnesota’s perch fishing is below average when compared with that of some other states. Some social media posts of huge perch that I see often are from Michigan, Wisconsin, and the Dakotas.
One example is northwest Minnesota’s Otter Tail Lake. This at one time was a terrific perch fishery. Nowadays, it’s rare to catch anything over 7 or 8 inches.
