Big Green Lake, one of Wisconsin’s most popular fishing destinations, may soon see the daily panfish bag limit drop from 25 to 10 if sportsmen support a DNR proposal at the April spring fish and game hearings that open Monday, April 14.
“It’s not species-specific, it’s panfish-specific,” said Scott Bunde, a DNR fisheries biologist for Green Lake, Marquette, and Waushara counties. “You would be allowed to have 10 panfish in total made up of the various species of panfish.”
