The Michigan Department of Natural Resources gets a lot of guff – not all of it undeserved – for its management practices, but one area where the agency hit the ball out of the park and you don’t hear a lot of chatter about is its goose management.
We have outstanding goose hunting and most of it has to do with something the department (or its predecessor, the Conservation Department) did decades ago.
