Thank you all for putting up with my lengthy tale about the disappearing wild turkey flock here in my hometown of Wheaton, Ill.
I enjoyed writing it and I was certain that humans had eliminated the turkeys, but I was wrong. I was shocked to get mail that said that some folks thought it was OK to eliminate the turkey flock if it was damaging the paint jobs on cars by pecking with their beaks. I can’t figure out the rationale in that argument.
