Outdoors-related bills already in play during early stages of Minnesota Legislative session

With split membership among Republicans and DFLers in both the Senate and House, the Minnesota DNR plans to consider policy items from both sides of the aisle. During this year’s legislative session, the Minnesota DNR’s efforts will be focused more on the budget than on pushing policy, which had been a primary focus in previous sessions.
“We’ve done so much policy in the past couple of years, we’re just going to take a little break on any major policy this session and focus really on our financial needs,” said Bob Meier, DNR assistant commissioner.
