Is diversity a good thing when it comes to the breed you choose for a hunting dog?

It’s easy to develop a strong level of breed loyalty when you have a great dog. But over time, a specific breed might not be the best choice for your home situation, or your hunting situation. Our world seems to be dominated by tribalism. This is most evident in our political leanings, but there is another category in which we tend to choose a side and then stay put: dog breeds. Anyone who has ever owned a dog probably understands why.
