“I would really like to get the boughs and tree for the deck before the weather turns on us,” I told my husband Stan as we headed into the weekend before Wisconsin’s deer season.
Weather-wise, it had been a glorious fall. We had been well into October before we needed to clear the flowerpots off the deck, and then only because the flowers were shutting down. Frost had nothing to do with it. This was about to change.
