After completing six-month training academies, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is welcoming the newest class of both Forest Rangers and Environmental Conservation officers to its law enforcement ranks.
In a ceremony held Dec. 2 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany, nine new Forest Rangers graduated the academy and were set to begin careers in the DEC Division of Forest Protection.
