Abandoned, derelict boat problem bobs to top in Pennsylvania

Federal and state officials are seeking to solve the problem of countless abandoned and derelict vessels (ADVs) littering waterways in Pennsylvania and nationwide.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association and the BoatUS Foundation have launched the development of a database that will pinpoint the locations of ADVs and track their removal while illustrating the environmental and navigation hazards they are causing on rivers and lakes.
