Each year for several months, the books pile up in corners of my office. Then in mid-November, when there’s nothing else going on except wrapping up muskie season, enjoying a pheasant hunt or two, bowhunting the rut, and getting ready for deer season, I cruise through the piles, stopping long enough to get the flavor of each volume so I can write this annual review.
