It’s the heart of deer season and this episode features a summer interview editor Dan Ladd had with legendary Adirondack deer tracker Jim Massett. Now in his mid-80s, Jim – who was the 2021 NYON Person of the Year – is still chasing Adirondack bucks around. In this interview, which was recorded at Huntstock NY, Jim discusses the virtues of tracking bucks, what to look for and where to look for it. He shares a few stories too, including how he always carried his deer out of the woods as opposed to dragging them.
