Minnesota DNR to pursue walleye limit drop from six to four

The stress that invasive species, warming waters, new fishing technologies, and angling pressure have put on walleye populations across the state is what prompted the Walleye Alliance to push for a change. (Stock photo)

Minnesota DNR officials met with a citizen-comprised walleye workgroup last week to let its roughly 20 members know that the agency intends to advance a proposal to reduce statewide walleye limits from six to four fish.
