On Sept. 28, outdoor enthusiasts will be observing National Hunting and Fishing Day, when anglers and hunters celebrate their heritage and the contributions they have made to wildlife, habitat and recreational opportunities as individuals and as organized sportsmen and women.
One organization in New York certainly has made its mark on that history as being the oldest continuously operating club in the United States.
