ATV, UTV or XTV for outdoor enthusiasts: What off-road vehicle is right for you?

Hunters, anglers and others who have a passion to explore the outdoors – along with farmers, loggers, construction workers, and government agencies – have purchased thousands of off-road vehicles during the past four decades.

During my past 30 years, I’ve had long-term experiences with an ATV and two UTVs, and have enjoyed some quality time with an XTV. What began with the launch of Tricart – the first year-round motorized tricycle that could navigate difficult terrain – in the late 1960s, has led global power sports manufacturers to create today’s thriving multi-billion dollar industry.
