Follow these three patterns to catch August muskies

Catching muskies in August can be difficult. Years ago anglers believed their lack of action was a result of the fish losing their teeth. We now know muskies carry a full set of dentures all season long, but they do remain a challenge to catch.
Fortunately, there are a number of patterns that can produce muskies in late summer. Here are three that should figure into your muskie plans.
