Christine Thomas catches the ‘shutter’ bug with nature photography

“I think you should rent some cameras and lenses to see what you like,” advised my daughter, Shannon Honl. “Do some Internet research, read some reviews, and rent something you think you want to purchase.”
She was responding to my inquiry about what camera I should think about buying. I have been frustrated that I have not been able to get better wildlife shots with my cell phone. I like that I always have my phone handy, that it is light and uncomplicated, and that I can easily share photos from it. I do not like that I do not have the reach I need for birds and other critters.
