A 68-year-old angler from West Virginia died while fishing the walleye spawning run on the Maumee River on April 1, authorities said.
According to an account in The Blade of Toledo, Lucas County Coroner Dr. Thomas Blomquist said angler Mark Doll was walking upstream when he became submerged in the water near Side Cut Metropark.
