While the white bass migration in Ohio peaks around mid-May, catchable numbers often linger to the end of the month. The timing and duration of the spawn is governed by the weather. No guarantee predicting exactly when.
Temperatures cold enough to interrupt spawning have been less prevalent in recent years. In early 2024, record setting warm temperatures made it look like spawning may begin earlier and end sooner than usual. It proved just the beginning of a rollercoaster and now only time will tell.
