Governor’s proposed budget ‘mostly flat’ for Illinois DNR, though additional CPO hiring expected

Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker released the state budget plan on Feb. 21. 

“The recommended fiscal year 2025 budget includes increased funding to fully support department activities and rebuilds staff ing infrastructure at state parks and historic sites, and continued operation of the Illinois State Museum,” the proposal states.
