New York, while offering snow goose hunting opportunities, is certainly not a hot spot like the Central Flyway. Occasionally the big flocks will have to stop for a few days when the snow line and frozen water haven’t advanced as fast as they can fly.
For New York hunters, this translates into years skipped as they fly over this state to open water further north. However, when they do stop you can enjoy some fun shooting if you take a few simple steps to enjoy that opportunity.
