North Country National Scenic Trail now national park

The North Country National Scenic Trail running from North Dakota to Vermont and through western Pennsylvania is now a National Park Service unit.
Traversing eight states, it is twice the length of the Appalachian Trail and the longest of six pathways in the National Trails System.
