Steve Carney: What was behind a disappointing Minnesota duck hunting season?

The 2023 waterfowling season mercifully came to an end last weekend.
This season rates as one of the toughest I have ever experienced, and I worked about as hard as possible to harvest the ducks I did. The final few weeks, I have heard various theories about the 2023 season. Like, “The ducks already have moved through the state,” or, “There are tons of ducks still in Canada.” It’s hard to know what to believe.
