Snow came early to northeastern Maine this deer season, arriving about mid-morning on Oct. 30, which was opening day for non-residents.
My two New York hunting partners – Rick Goodman, of our Iron Sight Gang Adirondack crew, and Matt Novak, both from Warren County, and myself, were hitting the thick Maine woods. Guiding us was our friend, Randy Flannery, who runs Wilderness Escape Outfitters in Danforth, not far from the Canadian border.
