Laura Kudej enjoys her ties to history, connecting her position on the local historical society board to her new position on the Iowa Natural Resources Commission. Indeed, it’s an interest in the past that gives the rural Forest City woman the drive to make the future better for herself and the state.
“It’s a huge benefit to me, my family, my friends and the community to preserve and protect all of the things that are important,” said Kudej, who is married to her husband Dave. The couple have three grown children, Anton, Josef and Sophia. She prides herself on her volunteer efforts in the community.
