A proposal that flew under the radar at a recent meeting of the Ohio Wildlife Council is an item that should be concerning for the state’s anglers.
The ODNR Division of Wildlife recently proposed adding Florida and Alabama bass to the state’s list of injurious aquatic invasive species. Injurious Aquatic Invasive Species (IAIS) are animals that cause or are likely to cause damage or harm to native ecosystems or to commercial, agricultural, or recreational activities that are dependent on these ecosystems.
