Solar power project just getting off the ground for Steve Pollick’s pond

We intuitively know, and take for granted, that the Sun powers life on Earth through the green plant world, but nothing illustrates that first-hand like a little at-home demonstration of the value of harnessing solar power.
For me that demonstration came when I set up a solar-powered water pump to help aerate my little quarter-acre pond. But first, some background.
