Seek out action on the surface at dawn to get on summer fish

Steve Carney says he’s been catching a variety of fish by leaving the dock early on calm mornings. He’ll then seek out surface activity caused by minnows or insects – both of which attract a variety of game fish. (Photo courtesy of Steve Carney)
