Things have changed a lot in the last decade or so as millions of dollars in Marcellus shale natural gas receipts from under state game lands have flowed into Game Commission coffers.
As a result, the agency doesn’t need to raise hunting license fees in the foreseeable future. So, it will be interesting to see whether legislators give the commission the power to increase fees on its own.
